Seminar, Bijela, mart 2010

The University of Agder was awarded pre-project funding from the Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade for a seminar in Montenegro, including participants invited from several institutions in the western Balkans. An initiative had already been made for the establishment of a network between several children’s homes by Director Dukanovic from Bijela Children’s Home, Montenegro. Having this as a background, UiA invited participants to a two-day seminar on the project proposal in its application to the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Staff members from children’s homes in Belgrade, Užice, Zvornik, Banja Luka, Skopje, Ljubljana and Bijela attended, the result being a unilateral decision to support UiA’s project proposal and application for financial support.

The seminar was opened by the Minister of Education in Montenegro, Suad Numanovic, and Governor Dejan Mandic from Herceg Novi. Journalists (newspapers and television) were also present at the opening.
